DEEP BREATHING
Deep breathing is one of the best ways to lower stress in your body. This is because when you breathe deeply, it sends a message to your brain to calm down and relax. The brain then sends this message to your body. Those things that happen when you are stressed, such as increased heart rate, fast breathing, and high blood pressure, all decrease as you breathe deeply to relax.

Guided imagery helps lower anxiety, stress and blood pressure, reduces the severity of headaches and even strengthens immune functioning.

Why is looking after your emotional wellbeing so important? 

This little story illustrates it well....

Imagine you are going for a walk in the forest when you come upon a guy furiously sawing down a tree. 

"What are you doing?" you ask. 
"I'm sawing down a tree," come the curt reply. 
"How long have you been at it?"
"Four hours so far, but I'm really making progress," he says, seat dripping from his chin. 
"You saw looks really dull," you say. "Why don you take a break and sharpen it?"
"I can't, you idiot. I'm too busy sawing"

The moral of the story is that if the guy would take a 15 minutes break to sharpen the saw, he'd probably finish three times faster. 

So, if you feel that your saw is dull take some time to sharpen it so you can be more alert and healthy in and out of work
